One night in the early 1930s, the great Jean Malin, hungry and tired, decided to stop by a cafeteria as he headed home from winning first prize at a drag ball. Still clad head to toe in drag, his flamboyance angered a group of four men inside. They threw a pitcher of hot water on him. Malin reacted
